Sony Imageworks
3D Modeler
November 2008 - May 2009

  • Modeled hero props and environments for Alice in Wonderland over a period of six months.

  • Worked overtime to build various models for Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs

July 2008 - August

  • Modeled a Boeing 747 with an ultra high resolution engine made to break apart which included fan blades, paneling, nuts and bolts, hoses and wiring. For the same spot I also created oil dereks, power line towers, modern windmills, nuclear cooling towers, as well as a high resolution cargo ship propeller built to collapse.

  • Modeled textured and lit various cave scenes for a Discovery channel spot. Modeled cracked mud, stalagmites, rocks, and other cave elements in high resolution.

  • Modeled a high resolution conveyor belt. Built the Taj Mahal, the Parthenon, the London Bridge and a pyramid for a Dirty Jobs promo.

  • Created spherical environments of various real life locations using projection mapping so that 3d cars could be placed into those locations and could be shot from any angle.

  • Modeled printers for a Lexmark commercial.

August 2007 – October

  • Created a photo real scene which included the modeling of various buildings, parking meters, café tables, curbs, lamp posts and other city ojbects to be used as set extentions and background replacements for a las Vegas housing development commercial.

  • Worked with a team of three people to build the Empire State Building under construction in the 1930’s. I took special care to make it authentic by modeling every detail from old photographs. Created cranes, walls, rivets, ropes, grain sacks, windows and many other objects to give it a level of extreme photo realism. We finnished with an organized 2.5 million polygon model.

  • Generalist – Did basic animation, lighting and texturing for various other projects with the company.

  • 3D Modeling – Used Maya to model high resolution set extensions for National Treasure 2.

  • I built cave walls rock by rock, as well as modeled a temple with aged damage from falling debris over the years.

  • I was also tasked with building an Indiana Jones type platform trap made of interconnected pieces of engraved wood, which I matched from a hydraulic set piece in high resolution.

  • 3D Modeling – Used camera mapping to create buildings, roads and set extensions for a Buick car commercial.

  • Built five high resolution printers for a Lexmark commercial in five days.

  • R&D on modeling environments from 360 degree HDR images.

  • 3D modeling – Used Maya to model multiple city sets for Lincoln’s new line up of cars. Specialized in modeling the hero buildings and sidewalks from photos.

  • Used projection mapping for modeling and texturing

  • Lit and textured digital trees

  • Worked with one other artist on a commercial for ArmorAll. I modeled their logo in its entirety so that it could be animated.
